DALLAS—Singer Equities Inc., one of the three operating subsidiaries of Dallas-based SBP Holdings, has increased its footprint in the belting world with the acquisition of OB&E Rubber Co.
The Jeffersonville, Ind.-based OB&E specializes in the supply and installation of industrial and agricultural conveyor belts and components, using Continental belts and splice kits, Flexco fasteners and Precision Pulley and idlers.
OB&E also serves the power generation, aggregate, recycling and resell markets.
"OB&E's customer-centric focus will help strengthen our ability to service new and existing customers in the Midwest region," SBP Holdings CEO Craig Osborne said in a statement.
OB&E Rubber, founded in 1952, will continue with its current branding under Singer Equities, and owners Nathan and Joe Endris will continue in their management roles.
"OB&E expands Singer's ... potential in the Midwest, which complements the company's conveyor service in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast," Nathan Endris.

Sam Petillo, president of Singer Equities, said the firm will look to leverage OB&E's extensive business experience. "We are excited to add OB&E's decades of knowledge, product expertise and conveyor installation experience to the Singer family," he said.
Singer Equities has a significant presence in the distribution of industrial rubber goods and services. Along with Bishop Lifting Products and Dakota Fluid Power, the three groups of SBP Holding have 95 locations and more than 1,300 employees.
