EWING, N.J.—R.E. Carroll continues to grow.
The Ewing-based specialty chemicals distributor acquired ChemRep Inc. June 5, expanding its reach and adding depth to its distribution capabilities.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Based in Wood Dale, Ill., ChemRep—established in 1977 by Mark and Gail Petras—specializes in activators for sulfur cures, process aids, adhesion promoters, fillers, mold releases and polymers. Under R.E. Carroll, ChemRep will operate as a subsidiary, distributing products from its Itasca, Ill., warehouse.
This marks the second acquisition in as many years for R.E. Carroll, which distributes raw materials and petroleum products used in the adhesives & sealants, coatings, rubber and related industries. The New Jersey company last year added RHD Polymer and Chemical L.L.C., a Louisville, Ky.-based distributor of specialty elastomers and additives, to its fold.
