BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Motion Industries Inc., a distributor of industrial and power transmission parts and solutions, has agreed to purchase LSI Supply Inc. of Canada.
The transaction is expected to close sometime in the third quarter of this year. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
"We are thrilled to join the Motion team and look forward to contributing to the company's growth," LSI Supply President Jordan Sharpe said in a statement. "With Motion, our offerings will be broader and deeper than ever, raising our customer service to new heights."
LSI has five locations in and around Windsor, Ontario, and supplies bearings, seals, power transmission and fluid power components, and industrial supplies.
The firm serves many of the same industries that Motion serves, including agriculture, automotive, food and beverage, marine, plastic injection molding, renewable energy, military, wastewater and tool and die.
Motion has annual net sales of about $8 billion, distributing more than 19 million parts and supplies.
Motion North America boasts more than 550 distribution locations and service centers. The company serves both aftermarket and OE customers.
