HB Chemical adds depth with J. Drasner purchase

TWINSBURG, Ohio—HB Chemical Corp., a subsidiary of Ravago Holdings Inc., has acquired Cleveland-based J. Drasner and Co. Inc., expanding a long-standing relationship between the two companies that started more than 20 years ago.

Terms of the acquisition, finalized March 1, were not disclosed.

"Many of J. Drasner customers are also HB customers, and we are excited to work side by side to bring both of our companies together, delivering a seamless transition," said Joe Moran, vice president of Twinsburg-based HB Chemical.

While HB Chemical is a chemical supplier for the rubber, plastics and coating industries, J. Drasner supplies low melting batch inclusion film and bags for similar industries.

"We are very excited about this combination," said Jason Drasner, owner of J. Drasner and Co. "HB Chemical has an outstanding team and together, we will be able to offer our customers better service and more products than ever before."

Moran said bringing the Drasner team on board with HB will improve both companies.

"We have worked with J Drasner for over 20 years and now we are thrilled to combine our teams and together offer an even better customer experience," Moran said.

J. Drasner and Co. began 38 years ago in Cleveland.
