MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich.—Galco Industrial Electronics Inc. has acquired D.F. Burnham and Co., a deal that strengthens Galco's presence in the fluid power solutions market. As part of the deal, Galco gains access to D.F. Burnham's 23,000-sq.-ft. facility.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CEO Allison Sabia said that the acquisition significantly upgrades Madison Heights-based Galco's capabilities for industrial supply and distribution.
"D.F. Burnham's deep expertise and commitment to high-quality fluid power products combined with Galco's robust distribution network will allow us to deliver greater value to the industrial automation market," Sabia said in a statement.
The Galco team is excited to expand its product offerings in a variety of markets with assistance from D.F. Burnham, Sabia said.
Sterling Heights, Mich.-based D.F. Burnham serves a broad range of industries and specializes in hydraulic and pneumatic components, including hoses, fittings, tubing, gauges and custom manifolds.
For D.F. Burnham, the acquisition presents opportunities to enter new markets. Company owner David A. Burnham said that his team is "thrilled" to be joining the Galco family of distributors, and looks forward to the shared growth of both companies.
