PLYMOUTH, Mich.—Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies continues to invest in electronics and components for the aftermarket industry, acquiring Toledo Driveline L.L.C.
The Northwest Ohio Toledo Driveline will be integrated into Freudenberg Sealing Technologies' growing Corteco Division.
Terms of the transaction, which was finalized between Freudenberg Technologies and Seal Aftermarket Products L.L.C. (former parent company of Toledo Driveline, also purchased by Corteco) Nov. 6, were not disclosed.
"The acquisition of Toledo Driveline adds another strategic element to our growing aftermarket business in North America and in other parts of the world," Christian Dickopf, senior vice president of Freudenberg Sealing Technologie's Corteco Division, said in a statement. "We can now offer aftermarket customers a complete portfolio of components, including seals, metal components and electronics produced to address the specific requirements of internal combustion transmission repairs and rebuilds."
Toledo Driveline supplies miscellaneous automotive transmission parts and electronics, like drums, planetaries and solenoids. The company also offers engineering services.
Corteco, under Freudenberg Sealing, also purchased Toledo Trans-Kits as part of its Nov. 6 SAP-Toledo Driveline purchase.
Corteco has manufacturing plants/distribution centers in more than 15 different countries. Through the Freudenberg Group, the company reaches customers in 60 countries around the world.
In 2023, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies generated sales of about $2.65 billion and employed more than 13,000 people.
