NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio—Flow Polymers, the additives business of Polymer Solutions Group (PSG), has increased its footprint in Ohio with the acquisition of New Philadelphia-based Performance Additives of America (PAoA).
PSG said the acquisition of PAoA—which manufactures the tire homogenizing agent Ultra Blend 4000—"solidifies our position as the global leader in tire homogenizing agents" and gives Flow Polymers a second location in Ohio for manufacturing tire homogenizing agents. Flow Polymers also produces Promix 400 in Cleveland.
The acquisition, PSG said in a recent press release, also will "support business growth and improve operating efficiency by combining best practices of Flow and PAoA."
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Performance Additives of Malaysia (PAoM) also will maintain Ultra Blend 4000 produced by PAoA in its product line, PSG said. Behn Meyer, PAoM's parent, will continue to distribute the additive outside of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Flow Polymers, it said, will continue to produce and market Promix 400 globally.
