Flexitallic acquires Australian fluid sealing applications manufacturer

PERTH, Australia—Flexitallic Group Inc. is expanding its global reach with its acquisition of Australian manufacturer Novus Sealing Pty. Ltd.

With bases in Perth and Bayswater, Australia, Novus manufactures and supplies products for fluid sealing applications in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, Flexitallic said in an Aug. 15 news release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to Flexitallic, the acquisition expands "its operations in Australia to support the growth of key industry markets, particularly, in the energy sector."

Major areas of interest include the current and future strength in LNG, minerals and investment plans in the "hydrogen economy," the United Kingdome-based sealing products group noted.

Novus, it added, "dovetails with Flexitallic's innovations in the advancement of gasket and sealing technology to support the need for increased equipment efficiency and emission control."

Flexitallic already has an established brand presence in Australia, through existing distribution and manufacturing licensing agreements with Seal Innovations (Motion Australia).

"This acquisition will strengthen the support and cooperation between the two partners and levels of service available for our customers," said Flexitallic.
