KIERSPE, Germany—Carlisle Fluid Technologies Group has acquired German silicone rubber supplier Reinhardt-Technik GmbH in a deal to heavily enhance its selection of adhesives and sealants.
The agreement, signed by Reinhardt-Technik Nov. 29 and finalized Dec. 2, further adds to Carlisle's selection of global brands in paints, coatings, powders and other markets. Fred Sutter, CEO of Carlisle Fluid Technologies, said that the acquisition further establishes Carlisle as a global player in the growing global sealant and adhesive market.
"Reinhardt Technik's broad portfolio and history of innovation complement our core capabilities and strengths," Sutter said. "This acquisition is another exciting step forward as we focus our efforts on growth and offering leading products to our customers."
Sutter added that the company will continue to look for "transformative acquisitions and strategic add-ons" throughout its corporate portfolio. Reinhardt-Technik will continue business operations with its current management team under the new deal.
Established in 1962, the German manufacturer has become a leading name in bonding, dispensing, potting and systems solutions.
