Acquisition strengthens Bridgestone HosePower

ORANGE PARK, Fla.—Bridgestone HosePower L.L.C. has a little more depth behind its hydraulic and industrial services and solutions thanks to its latest acquisition.

The company—a wholly owned and indirect subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp.—acquired Cline Hose & Hydraulics L.L.C., a Greenville, S.C.-based, family-owned operation.

"Cline Hose & Hydraulics has an exceptional reputation for quality and has a very similar business model as Bridgestone HosePower," Tom Henry, Bridgestone HosePower president and CEO, said in a statement. "This acquisition expands upon our capabilities while increasing our capacity to service a larger customer base with speed and flexibility."

Terms of the agreement, which closed Jan. 11, were not disclosed.

Cline Hose & Hydraulics, founded in 1948, has grown throughout its 75-year history. At the time of the acquisition, the company operated two retail hose locations—in Greenville and Augusta, Ga.—along with a fleet of mobile service trucks that serve customers throughout the Southeast U.S.
