COLOMBES, France—Bostik, an adhesive and sealant manufacturing company, will add to its product footprint in the U.S. with the acquisition of Edge Adhesives Holdings Inc., based in Fort Worth, Texas.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.
Bostik, a subsidiary of Colombes-based Arkema S.A., revealed the addition of Edge Adhesives in a May 17 news release. Edge specializes in hot melt adhesives and pressure sensitive tapes for residential construction, specifically window, door and roofing applications.
Edge Adhesives, which has about 50 employees, had annual sales in 2020 of about $12 million, Bostik said.
Parent company Arkema is structured into three divisions dedicated to specialty materials: adhesive solutions; advanced materials; and coating solutions. Arkema operates in 55 countries with 20,600 employees worldwide.
