MARIETTA, Ga.—Belt Power L.L.C., a distributor and fabricator of belting and related parts for lightweight conveyor systems, has purchased the U.S. assets of Sparks Belting Co. Inc., Belt Power's sixth acquisition since being acquired by Platte River Equity in 2022.
Sparks Belting was founded in 1946 and is based in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Terms of the transaction, which closed Jan. 15, were not disclosed.

Sparks, with in-house engineering capabilities, fabricates and distributes process conveyor belting systems, conveyor accessories and power transmission products.

Belt Power and Platte River Equity have been on an acquisition tear.
Belt Power added its fifth bolt-on in June 2024, acquiring Mol Belting Systems, also of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Mol Belting, founded in 1986, adds fabrication and distribution capabilities in process conveyor belting, accessories and power transmission applications for Belt Power.

Belt Power has more than 25 facilities across the U.S. and is one of the industry's largest, distributor and fabricator of conveyor system components, including conveyor belts, equipment, accessories, power transmission, rubber hose and gasket products.
The firm has applications in the food, packaging, recycling, pharmaceutical industrial and material handling segments.
