WICKLOW, Ireland—Arkema S.A. is acquiring Arc Building Products. The Irish company’s portfolio of construction adhesives and sealants includes polyurethane wood adhesives and PU foam sealants. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
Arc’s production facility is in Wicklow and has annual sales of about $16.5 million (€15 million). Significant investment in the site is planned to increase local production.
Arkema said its Bostik brand has been present in Ireland for more than 60 years, and the acquisition offers both industrial and commercial synergies. By integrating Arc’s product range, it said, Bostik will expand its value-added portfolio of products for the Irish construction market, where growth is being driven by the increasing demand for sustainable housing and renovation.
“This deal is aligned with Bostik’s commitment to deliver consistently high-quality, sustainable products, while fostering strong customer intimacy,” said Vincent Legros, EVP of Arkema’s adhesive solutions business.
