CHICAGO—Amsted Seals and Forming Co.'s newest acquisition is the wheel deal.
The sealing and metal fabricator of heavy duty round and cylindrical components recently acquired Triseal Corp., based 70 miles to the northwest in Hebron, Ill. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Triseal, founded in 1985, specializes in wheel-end accessories for the truck aftermarket, producing seals, pinion seals, hub caps, gaskets, hubodometers and axle nuts, among other items.
"The acquisition of Triseal accelerates our wheel seal sales to the aftermarket truck market and expands the breadth of product we offer as well," said Michael Carter, president of Amsted Seals and Forming. "Now, with the addition of Triseal's capabilities, we are uniquely positioned with a full product offering."
