ROUND LAKE, Ill.—No. 859 is a 550°F shelf oven from the Grieve Corp., currently used for drying powdered resin.
The workspace dimensions of the oven measure 44 inches by 30 inches deep by 60 inches tall, according to a Grieve release. 12 KW are installed in Nichrome wire heating elements, while a 1,000 cubic-feet-per-minute, 1-horsepower recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.
The Grieve oven has 4-inch insulated walls, Type 430 stainless steel interior and four independent doors for access to workspace, each opening 20.5 inches wide by 28.5 inches high. The oven includes 32 trays 19 inches wide by 29 inches long by 2.5 inches deep, a weekly timer to start and stop the oven and a digital timer for each compartment with a button and pilot light to indicate the end of the cycle.
Controls on the No. 859 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower air flow safety switch and a 10-inch diameter circular chart recorder.
