Cooper Tire appoints VP of marketing for N. America
FINDLAY, Ohio—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed Bryan Hesse as vice president of marketing for its North American tire operations, overseeing the firm's marketing programs in the U.S. and Canada.
Cooper said Hesse brings more than 25 years of experience in global marketing, sales, product development and engineering. He previously served as vice president of residential marketing at Armstrong World Industries.
Other roles prior to his time with Armstrong include global marketing director of Valspar Corp.'s Consumer Division, a decade with Procter & Gamble with a focus on growing the firm's Gillette and Duracell brands in various marketing and leadership roles, and as vice president for Hesse Engineering Inc., a consulting engineering firm specializing in assembly and process automation.
DuPont selects leader for European business unit
GENEVA, Switzerland—DuPont Performance Materials has appointed Rudy van Engen as its new regional director for the unit's Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
DuPont said van Engen brings more than 20 years of experience in the plastics and rubber industry, beginning with his career in the Plastics Division at Dow Chemical in 1994. He then moved on to the DuPont Dow Elastomers joint venture in 1996, serving in various sales, regional product management and global business management roles.
He joined DuPont in 2005, holding several regional and global business management positions across different DuPont business units in Europe and North America. He most recently served as sales manager for Central and Eastern Europe at DuPont Performance Polymers.
Evonik appoints Kullmann deputy chairman of board
ESSEN, Germany—Evonik A.G. named Christian Kullmann deputy chairman of the executive board.
The firm said Kullmann has been on the executive board since July 2014 as the firm's chief strategic officer. He's been with Evonik since 2003.
Maroon expands coverage with five appointments
AVON, Ohio—Maroon Group L.L.C. has hired five people in its effort to expand coverage across the Midwest.
John Lovell will serve as the company's Midwest Account Manager, covering Northern Illinois, Iowa and Kansas City, Mo. He brings more than 16 years of experience in the chemical distribution arena at Brandt Technologies to the job, Maroon said.
Joy Wilson joins the firm as a procurement specialist based out of Avon. She has more than 20 years of experience as a corporate buyer, Maroon said.
Other appointments include Holli Barnett, joining Maroon's accounting department to support its accounts receivable and payable departments; Michele Papay joins the communications department as a sales team/administrative support specialist; and Andrew Rigda will join Maroon's warehouse team.
Anderson names director for polymer business
STOW, Ohio—Anderson International Corp. has promoted Sam Stone to director of its polymer business.
Stone brings more than 25 years of experience in polymer processing to Anderson.
He officially joined the company in 2015 as a technical sales manager in the polymer division. The firm praised Stone for his team-building abilities.
Trelleborg hires director for Brazil operation
MACAE, Brazil—Trelleborg's offshore operation has appointed Sebastian Araujo as managing director of its manufacturing facility in Macae.
Araujo brings more than 12 years of experience in the oil and gas subsea sector to Trelleborg. The firm said he previously held general and commercial management roles in pipe coating and pipe bending service companies, including Bredero Shaw.
CRP Automotive names regional sales manager
CRANBURY, N.J.—CRP Automotive has hired Cory Martin as its west coast regional sales manager for the U.S.
CRP said Martin spent four years at IMC, an import focused parts distributor, as a sales manager in Texas and South Florida. Prior to that, Martin spent three years as a diagnostic sales developer with Snap-On.
