BRC Rubber names sales and marketing director

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.—BRC Rubber & Plastics Inc. has named Scott Wellman as director of sales and marketing.

BRC said Wellman brings 30 years of experience in the rubber and plastics industry and will lead the firm's Auburn Hills sales and engineering staff.

Wellman has held management and advanced technical roles within the global rubber and plastics industries. He holds a patent in structural composites in addition to co-owning five other provisional patents associated with advanced materials and manufacturing processes.

ITW Dynatec selects business unit manager

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.—ITW Dynatec has appointed Nordine Meniai as business unit manager, packaging.

ITW said Meniai brings an extensive background in sales, customer acquisition and more than 10 years of global business development. He spent five years at Anixter, specializing in fasteners for the automotive sector in Southern and Eastern Europe.

He also spent time with Valeo, Dura Automotive, and Edgen Murray, part of the Sumitomo Group.

TrelleborgVibracoustic appoints two executives

WEINHEIM, Germany—TrelleborgVibracoustic, a joint venture between Trelleborg A.B. and Freudenberg, has appointed a new chief financial officer and chief technology officer.

Stefan Eck will become the firm's new CFO and a member of the management board after serving as CFO for the automotive supplier Hilite International. The company said he has broad international management background including considerable financial and automotive experience.

Joerg Boecking will become a member of the management board and serve as CTO after serving as CTO for Freudenberg.

He's held leading positions in Vibracoustic prior to the formation of the joint venture and has extensive management experience leading businesses in the automotive industry, TrelleborgVibracoustic said.

Orion names Peters general manager for Americas

KINGWOOD, Texas—Orion Engineered Carbons L.L.C. has appointed Mark Peters as senior vice president and general manager for the Americas region, responsible for all aspects of company performance in the Americas.

The firm said Peters has 28 years of experience in petrochemical manufacturing. He spent 24 years with Dow Chemical Co., holding leadership positions in engineering; plant, site and global business man-agement; and joint venture development.

Prior to joining Orion, Peters was manufacturing vice president for Goradia Capital L.L.C. and business development director for Braskem Americas.

Huntsman selects director of operations at Texas site

THE WOODLANDS, Texas—Huntsman Corp. has named Chad Anderson site director for its operation in Port Neches, Texas.

Anderson joined Huntsman in 2003 as a C4 butadiene plant six sigma black belt, the firm said. He then was promoted to operations manager for the F4 and F6 ethylene oxide units, G5/G6 ethylene glycol units, and receiving and shipping.

He was named senior manager, engineering works, in 2011, responsible for all of the Port Neches site's engineering, capital project execution, maintenance and reliability. He brings more than 20 years of chemical manufacturing experience in technical and management roles at Equistar, Akzo Nobel and Huntsman, with site leadership at Arkema and Lucite.

FSA chooses Matthews for PR manager position

WAYNE, Pa.—The Fluid Sealing Association has appointed Charli Matthews as its public relations manager, a newly created position.

FSA said that Matthews, founder and president of Empowering Pumps L.L.C., has been responsible for developing the FSA's social media presence and was the driving force behind the development and redesign of the association's new website. In her new position, she will help the FSA craft its public voice.

Cooper Standard appoints chief information officer

NOVI, Mich.—Cooper Standard Automotive Inc. has appointed Susan Kampe as chief information officer.

The firm said she brings more than 20 years of executive and professional information and technology leadership to Cooper Standard. She had been managing partner and founder of Zang Consulting L.L.C., a national business technology consulting and IT services company.

Prior to that, Kampe held a variety of automotive IT executive roles with Johnson Controls Inc. and Arvin Meritor.
