ITEC 2014 Paper 33: Modulus Profile Study of Artificially Aged Tires with Various Inflation Gases

The aging behavior of three tire brands were studied by oven aging. Whole tire oven aging was used. The work compared various inflation gases, including air, 50/50-O2/N2, and nitrogen. The modulus changes were studied using the modulus profiling technique. The scope included radial modulus profiles from the belt edge and lower sidewall regions.
