Pre-conference workshop added to tire conference
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.—For the first time, the Clemson University Tire Industry Conference will offer a pre-conference workshop when it convenes at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort April 23-25.
The workshop, “Legislative/Regulatory Development and Rulemaking,” is scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23. Michael Wischhusen, technical director-litigation at Michelin North America Inc. and a frequent speaker at the conference, will lead the workshop.
Early bird registration is $795 per person for the conference and $995 for the conference and pre-conference workshop until Feb. 28. After Feb. 28, registration is $995 for the conference, $1,295 for the conference and workshop.

Dietrich, Tozer to speak at ASC's spring convention
ORLANDO, Fla.—Executives Jeff Dietrich and Dwight Tozer will be the keynote speakers at the Adhesive and Sealant Council's Spring Convention and Expo, to be held April 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando.
Dietrich, senior analyst at the Institute for Trend Research, will share where he believes the U.S. and global economies are headed in 2014 and 2015 and how that will impact ASC members.
Tozer, vice president of the adhesion industry business at the ExxonMobil Chemical Co., will discuss the increase in domestic natural gas production due to abundant shale gas supplies in the U.S.
