MOOSUP, Conn. (Oct. 2, 2009)—Griswold Rubber Co., a maker of standard and custom engineered cellular rubber and microcellular polyurethane foam products , is dropping the word “rubber” from its name to better reflect its capabilities. The company will now be known as Griswold Corp.
The firm, which has made rubber products since 1949, said it has had significant expansion into urethane foam, manufactured at its 200,000-sq.-ft. factory in Moosup. Besides continuing to serve the fabricator/converter market, it will offer custom-engineered closed cell polymers, and develop new products.
The firm said its Web address will change to www. griswoldcorp.com, and a new logo has been created.
