The paper discusses a new type of injection molding system which is capable of homogeneously raising the temperature of the compound during the injection cycle in a well-controlled process. Temperature raises up to 50 degrees C are achieved without changing the compound formulation or any changes to the mold, thus reducing the cure time depending on the geometric size of the product manufactured up to 50%. The scientific basics of this approach are discussed including the rheological design of the respective injection system.
