Micromolding is becoming increasingly popular with the need for very small molded components across several industries. It is best defined as injection molding of a part that is one gram or less in weight. There are limited offerings in injection molding machines and molds that are specific to micromolding, particularly for thermoset materials including silicone. We will focus on elastomer micromolding applications including nanotechnology, processes and equipment with particular emphasis on liquid silicones.
