With the implementation of 20th & 21st century machinery, processing, and rubber compounding technologies, the tire manufacturing industry has seen significant changes over the years. Advances in various components have contributed to improvements in quality, performance and productivity throughout the industry. However, a critical part of the process has been neglected. Separators (referred to as liners, packaging, and/or envelops) are a surprisingly static component in the evolving process. The industry spends valuable time, personnel and money trying to solve the separator problem, improving everything but the separator itself.
